Next Stage – Commercial Units Available To Rent
It’s been just over 2 years since planning permission was received to redevelop the Old Police Station in Cricklade High Street. There have been many challenges along the way, but the transformation of the property is now nearly complete.
The two new residential flats were let in December last year and the commercial units are therefore available to let. So if you are looking for units to rent in a busy central high street location, please get in touch to arrange a viewing by emailing contact@crickladefoundation.org.uk or phoning 07902 421756.
The commercial space available is as follows:
• 56.9 sqm – Rent £875pcm (£10,500pa)
• 33.0 sqm – Rent £525pcm (£6,300pa)
• 13.9 sqm – Rent £225pcm (£2,700pa)
• 9.6 sqm – Rent £150pcm (£1,800pa)
Note: all the above rents exclude service charge and are subject to negotiation depending on length of lease, improvements to premises etc.
The ground floor commercial units, which can be let independently or all together, have planning permission for planning use E (a, b & c). This covers a range of businesses including a café/tearoom, restaurant or retail business.
Final stage – Garden Area
By next year, we expect to have created a new garden/event space for the community to use (some of this may be available for a business tenant to use).
The design for the new garden area will shortly be agreed and quotations and funding sought. Our new community toilets, which were recently officially unveiled (see image below), will also provide facilities for users of the garden space. The toilets were transformed with the generous financial support of our excellent membership, Waylands Estates Charity (£2,390), Crapper and Sons (£25,000), and Hills Group (£10,000) – and the hard work of our volunteers.

This super fundraising feat will need to be repeated for the garden area – so there is still much work to do, but it will be worth it. But first, our focus is on letting our new commercial units – so please get in touch if you are interested!
